The people of Lynchburg have been using dry rubs to enhance the flavor of their meats before the turn of the century. This is an excellent dry rub marinade for pork, pork ribs, pork chops and chicken. It is also an excellent seasoning sprinkled on sweet potatoes. Rub seasoning gently into meat covering thoroughly.
